I have come to like this interpretation of the dance routine by Sylvie Guillem. It is popularised by the Japanese movie, Dance Subaru (IMDB link). In it, the lead, Subaru (Meisa Kuroki) adapted this dance routine as a mean to earn money for her ballet classes. The video of Sylvie Guillem dancing comes in two parts on Youtube. Enjoy!
P.S. Since I am featuring not only singers, but also dancers, bands, etc , so it is natural to change the category from Artist of The Week to Artiste(s) of The Week.
This post is long overdue. So is this group of singers. SORRY!!!
Anyway, the following cover of The Climb by Miley Cyrus is an online collaboration between AHMIR and David Sides, a talented pianist residing on Youtube. Enjoy! And oh, please visit their website too! It seems that they have released an album!
Also known as Aitai by Yuzu for those who watched Ghost Friend (d-addicts). It is the OST for the show.
I can’t believe how hard it can be to find the full official music video of this song. Pffft, apparently the record company does not believe in viral marketing. The song is making waves on the Net.
Anyway, here is the 45-second long snippet that is released by the record company (video host: Youtube). And, below is the full version of the song from IMEEM.
Lastly, what is a song without the lyrics:
Yuzu – I Miss You
Lyrics: Kitagawa Yujin Music: Kitagawa Yujin
If wishes can come true, which one should I make a reality?
I’ll answer without hesitation, I wish I could see you once more
Petals color the season outside, they’ll bloom vividly again this year
Now I’m walking all by myself through this scenery you loved
Though we hurt each other without understanding in those naive days
I realize now that we were wrapped up in true love
I miss you, I miss you, I’ll never forget you
You’re still here in my heart
Thank you, thank you, words aren’t enough
May these emotions find their way to you
My eyes narrow in the morning sun, a new daily routine begins again
But before I know it, I’m searching for you even though you’re gone
You would smile without saying a word, your gentle smile
You taught me the pain and joy of life
I’m overwhelmed, I’m overwhelmed, my voice won’t come out
I see your figure in the sky
We cried, we laughed, we walked together
The footprints we left behind will last forever
Ah, this endless life of new meetings goes on
If wishes can come true, once more…
I miss you, I miss you, I’ll never forget you
You’re still here in my heart
Thank you, thank you, words aren’t enough
May these emotions find their way to you
Your voice, your warmth, your gentle smile
They’re here in my heart, I miss you
I was away from the Internet for the past 3 days, due to servicing of my defective phone. When I came back online, I found an automated email from Youtube, informing me that there is a new message from another Youtube user, faireset, recommending the following artist, Sarah Ekström. Check her channel out for more original compositions. The video below is actually a collaboration between the two through the Internet.
This could be the last tear
Falling from my eye
Falling down to die
These could be the last words
Slipping from my mouth
The last time you hear me shout
I’ve been thinking for a while
You can’t take my pride
I’ve been crawling for a while
You burnt this heart of mine
Lay me in the sky
Among the clouds, where angels fly
Lay me in the sea
So I can sleep, alone in the deep
Picking all the flowers
That are growing in the fields
I pick them for your ideals
Running up that mountain
Running out of speed
I did all for what you need
I’ve been thinking for a while
You can’t take my pride
I’ve been crawling for a while
You burnt this heart of mine
Lay me in the sky
Among the clouds, where angels fly
Lay me in the sea
So I can sleep, alone in the deep
I don’t wanna do everything you said
Cause it’s going down right in my head, it’s burning, burning, burning
I don’t wanna do everything that you say
Cause it’s not the optional way, it’s burning, burning, burning, burning
